(CLOSED) V-Day Swag Giveaway #1- Chardonnay Wine & Cheese Picnic Basket

I enjoy entering giveaways and have won several. Now you have a turn to fill your mail boxes!

First up is a lovely romantic picnic basket from CSN Stores. If there is something you are looking for you are bound to find it at CSN Stores! From gifts to household items they have it all.

This willow Picnic Time Chardonnay Wine & Cheese Picnic Basket includes a corkscrew, wine glasses for two, and napkins. There is a handle for easy carrying. NOTE: The picture shown is the red checked but the one I am giving away is Hunter Green with purple grape themed napkins.

Imagine relaxing with your honey and enjoying a romantic picnic with this Picnic Time basket.
Sounds nice doesn't it? My husband and I will be celebrating our anniversary on Valentine's Day.
We were married on Valentine's Day in 1996. This anniversary we will be staying at a Bed & Breakfast Inn and will hopefully get a chance to hike and picnic. Early on in our marriage we would often take off for day trips on the spur of a moment. Of course this was before kids, pets, and work obligations. Many memories were made over a little hiking and romantic picnics!

A little more about Picnic Time:

Originally from Italy, Picnic Time's creators, Mario Tagliati and Gustavo Cosaro, have long been aficionados of good food, good wine, and good company. For over twenty-six years, they have made it their business to inspire others to get out and enjoy life.
To enter leave a comment with your Valentine's Day memory, bad or good!

RULES: One entry per person. Remember to leave your email address with your comment or have your email in your profile so you can be contacted! This giveaway is limited to the USA and Canada! The winner must be willing to give me their mailing address to pass on to my sponsor.
Giveaway ends Feb. 8 11:59pm unless extended.

Thanks and good luck!

I received some flowers anonymously one year. There was an initial on the card. This was in time for Valentine's Day. They were tulips (which just happen to be my favorite). I called the florist and they could only tell me it was someone who worked at the same company that I did.

I did find out who sent them 3 weeks later.
4 yrs later that person asked me to marry him and I said yes. That was on Valentine's Day too. He had a bunch of tulips from the same florist in his hand as he asked too.

This past November we celebrated 11 yrs of marriage. The florist that sent the original flowers is the one that I sued for our wedding too. I wanted tulips as the main flower but in the Midwest Tulips in November are expensive.

My favorite Valentine's memory is when my oldest son was young and he made me a valentine all on his own and presented it to me. I still have the Valentine and cry whenever I come across it. It was so sweet all the work he put into it.

When hubby and I were dating (which was long distance for the 1st year) he came down for a week during Vday. I came home from work to find that he had cooked me a steak dinner, bought roses and filled up my apt w/more than 100 balloons (that he blew up himself, poor guy). The balloons were red and white and all over the floor. It was one of the most romantic evenings ever (other than him proposing, but that wasn't vday). :) Jenprincess88 at aol dot com

My favorite Valentines memory is when my husband made plans for us to stay at a B&B. It was just a nice relaxing time and meant even more that he had planned the entire thing. candaceotto32 at yahoo dot com

When my husband and I were dating, he sent flowers over to my house on valentine's day before he picked me up for dinner. The flowers were beautiful, the thing is, there were eucalyptus in them... which I am highly allergic to.
By the time he arrived, my face was red and blotchy and I had stuffed the flowers down the garbage disposal like a crazy woman!
My husband has NEVER bought me flowers again!

The first good Valentine's Day I had was in high school, my boyfriend surprised me by putting a teddy bear he'd slept with in my locker, it smelled like him and I loved it.

in high school i received flowers from a guy, but i wasn't allowed to date. I ran up to the delivery guy, ripped the card off and hid in my pocket just in time to turn around and give it to my parents as if I bought it for them

I have no real show-stopping V-Day memories each year is different and each year is fun. The kids always try and make me a homemade card and show a little extra love that day. I already got them all some cute stuffed animals and candy for this year. I love all holidays, I always plan ahead and try not to expect much in return.

I remember the first one that hubbs and I had while we were dating. He sent a massive balloon bouquet! And I mean massive...it barely cleared the door!

Thanks

My favourite valentines day was when I was in highschool. I spent the night at my girlfriends house with three of our other girlfriends, we gave each other valentines and shared mountains of candy and all fell asleep on the couch watching movies. It was a fun day and probably my most eventful valentines yet :/

My husband took me out on a second date to a very fancy restaurant that someone recommended. It was nice ... but the server was super snooty that we wanted to drink water and soda and not wine. He refilled our glasses several times (soda served in a small wine glass) and when my poor hubby got the check we were charged for the water AND all of the soda refills at $3 a piece. Thank goodness I married him since he broke the bank there. ; )

I have lots of generic bad memories being single - trying to stay in and not have anyone ask what I did!

the first time I had a boyfriend for Valentine's Day was as a Sophomore in College (yes...i was a late bloomer...thankfully he is now my husband!).

ANYWAY

I snuck into his house on Valentine's Day morning to make him heartshaped pink pancakes (again, first boyfriend, and in college). Trouble was my husband's house was decrepit so the knobs on his stove were completely OFF and i had no idea what temperature i was cooking the pancakes on. OOPS. Needless to say, he ate one burnt pink heart and then we went out for breakfast!

My husband and I both have Feb birthdays. One year we decided to celebrate both on Valentine's Day. We stayed at a local Marriott's. That night we had a bad ice storm, so we stayed an extra night. We had a great time.

Last valentines my hubby bought home all the stuff to customize my closet. He also picked up a B&N gift card for me and a live mini rose bush. It was sweet and unexpected. Over the years we have often put these kind of gestures last on the financial priority list so I was completely surprised.
He definitely put alot of thought and effort into making a very happy valentines for me

My favorite Valentine memory is when I was small. I remember the night before Valentines, my mom, my sister and I would sit for hours and make valentines for all the kids at school. We would cut out hearts and then my mom always made cupcakes with pink frosting and sprinkles. It was so much fun.

My favorite memory is when my boyfriend steamed crab legs for me for Valentine's dinner. I adore seafood and he cannot stand it, and yet he cooked the crab legs perfectly. Such a delicious sacrifice on his part!

The best was the year I got over 10 dozen roses from my husband. Normally I get NOTHING for Valentine's day, but he got lucky that year. He worked at a truck stop and it was the dead of winter in a storm and the truck was unable to go anywhere so he unloaded the roses for FREE to whoever wanted them, my hubby surprised me with multiple colors of beautiful roses, my house smelled SO GREAT!
