Update on Red Kettle

Here is tax information for those who decide to donate to my Red Kettle:

Q:How do people receive tax receipts for their online donation?
A: The system automatically generates an e-gift acknowledgment and sends it via email to the address provided when the online gift is made. This receipt is generated in a PDF format that can be printed for the donor’s tax purposes.

Thanks!

Please help me fill my kettle

Don't worry, Your donation will go directly to The Salvation Army!

This makes me so angry!

This morning's report about relief aid in Myanmar really makes me angry. Here is a link
Basically the government there is not allowing aid to be distributed, at least by relief workers. I can see that this may cause a huge world conflict. It is ridiculous that people would be so blinded by their social/military structure and dynamics that they won't allow help in such a crisis.

Instead they are willing to the risk the loss of more people and major disease outbreaks. Lovely.
